Girls Gone Hungry

GGH Brunches at Hour Detroit’s 2018 Restaurant of the Year :: Parc

What do you do when Hour Detroit names the 2018 restaurant of the year? Why you book brunch there, of course!  The magazine has announced that Parc will be the winner of the prestigious award with a write up in their March issue. We hadn’t visited the Campus Martius restaurant prior to the announcement, but with all the recent hype we decided to check it out for ourselves.

We reserved an early brunch spot for 10:30AM.  Upon arrival the first thing we noticed is the gorgeous lighting. Floor to ceiling windows allow for panoramic views of Campus Martius. The service is exceptional. You are greeted right away and given careful and thoughtful attention throughout the entire meal. Our server noticed we were sharing and brought out extra plates without even asking.

We loved the menu. You have the option to order The Grand Assortment, which is a buffet style offering, or individual dishes. We opted for the latter and chose the veggie hash and cast iron baked pancake, with a side of brunch potatoes for good measure. Everything was exceptional, but the potatoes really stole the show. Perfectly crispy on the outside and just the right softness on the inside.  We paired the meal with the Parc Brunch Punch.  The drink is delicious and they do not hold back on the serving size.

All in all our experience at Parc was fantastic, and we fully support Hour Detroit’s decision to name them restaurant of the year. Congrats!

See what we mean about the lighting?

The punch was a welcome change from traditional brunch cocktails.
Healthy and delicious. We recommend this dish to anyone.
The cast iron baked pancake was filled with roasted apples, and cinnamon spiced maple syrup
