Shinola Hotel

The Shinola Hotel, nestled right in the heart of Detroit’s Woodward shopping district, gives you perfect access to everything Detroit has to offer. The hotel itself screams luxury. Picture mid-century vibes and earthy gem tones. SWOON. On top of its impeccable design, it’s also home to some of our favorite restaurants including San Morello which serves up some of the best Italian food in the city. You’ll also find Shinola’s Secret Bar/ Evening Bar in the back alley.

The Siren Hotel 

Located near The Monarch Club and The Belt, The Siren Hotel is perfectly situated for a night out in the city. For the swankiest of brides, this hotel offers amazing decor and is also home to Candy Bar. You’ll have no problem finding the perfect photo op with your girls here.

Detroit Foundation Hotel

For a true piece of Detroit history, stay at the Detroit Foundation Hotel. Formerly the Detroit Fire Department Headquarters this boutique hotel offers vintage Detroit feels with a modern twist. We absolutely love the historic vibe.

MGM Grand Detroit

Vegas who? MGM Grand Detroit is a luxury casino and hotel that will have you feeling like a high roller. With over 6 restaurants and bars, a gorgeous indoor pool, and a bustling casino you’ll feel like you’re in Sin City. Looking for something a little different during your stay? Luxury Midtown Townhouse, Perfect for Large Groups

If you have a large party this Midtown Townhouse is perfect for you. Comprised of 3 apartments there will be plenty of room for you and the girls. It sleeps up to 16 people! We love that it’s decorated with authentic Detroit art and furniture. Midtown is home to its own great attractions, but keep in mind you’re just a short Lyft from downtown.

Where to Eat

Let’s talk shop. One of the key things for any good weekend is good food. Here are our favorite places in Detroit for your party!

Townhouse Detroit

Townhouse is an absolute must for brunch. From their Challah French Toast to Crispy Chicken Sandwich there will be something for everyone in your group…and don’t even get us started on those Bloody Mary’s. Almost as important as the food, the decor makes for some amazing selfies. Take a photo of the bride against a gorgeous greenery wall or with a backdrop of the city on the chic outdoor patio.

San Morello

We mentioned San Morello above, but they get another shoutout because they are that good. This meal will be a bit of a splurge but it’s worth every penny. The Italian cuisine, boozy drinks, and stunning ambiance are all top-notch. We recommend “My Grandma’s Ravioli.”

They even have a fantastic brunch. Their breakfast spaghetti is so good.

Maru Sushi

For our sushi loving brides, Maru offers an amazing menu with fantastic cocktail options and a great wine list. Specials change seasonally but you’ll always find something worth ordering. For the bridesmaid who doesn’t love seafood, you’ll find teriyaki chicken, ramen and more.

This Corktown staple has plenty of seating for your bride tribe. They have a variety of cocktails, a great charcuterie option and our favorite app in the city – The Fried Dubliner Cheese. This place is an absolute must if you ask us.

Is there anything more quintessential Detroit than Lafayette Coney Island? If your night creeps into the early hours this is your go-to place for something to eat before bed. The Brakemen

The Brakemen is perfect for the fun-loving bride. It serves up some amazing craft brews and cocktails with a lively atmosphere. Relive your college days with a game of beer pong or play a round of table shuffleboard. One of the coolest features is that you can rent out a tap table. These accommodate up to 8 guests and are the perfect touch to your night out.

The Monarch Club

If you’re looking for cocktails we can’t recommend the Monarch Club enough. Located in the historic Metropolitan Building, The Monarch Club is the epitome of old school glamour mixed with a modern touch. The rooftop bar has breathtaking views of the city and the indoor spaces are just as stunning. Going there feels like an event in and of itself.
